Free Vacation Personality Quiz from USTOA

With concern over the economy, it's important to know that your hard-earned dollars are buying the best vacation experience for your money. But, how do you know whether a particular vacation is best suited to your personal preferences?

Now there is a simple way to find the answer. The United States Tour Operators Association -- whose member companies package travel arrangements and tours for more than 10 million people yearly -- has a new pamphlet with a self-scoring, 15-question "Vacation Personality Quiz." Developed in conjunction with consulting psychologists, the free pamphlet asks travelers to answer a series of questions based on their personality.

Results fall into three categories: Escorted Tour Traveler, Special Interest or Adventure Traveler, and Independent Package Traveler. Based on the selected category, travelers can narrow their vacation choices, selecting the type of vacation that is right for them.

USTOA recommends that travelers consult a travel agent with the results of their test, as many vacation packages and.tours are available only through travel agents.

The new pamphlet is part of USTOA's Smart Traveler's Planning Kit, available free of charge by phoning 1-800-GO-USTOA (468-7862). The quiz is also available on the USTOA website: www.ustoa.com.
