USTOA AND POPULAR PHOTOGRAPHY MAGAZINE TO LAUNCH DREAM DESTINATION SURVEY FOR PHOTO BUFFS

Where would you most like to photograph on vacation? Beginning March 15, travelers can tell Popular Photography & Imaging magazine (PP&I), by logging on to www.popphoto.com. The magazine has teamed up with the U.S. Tour Operators Association to launch parallel surveys on what photo buffs most want on vacation and to identify photographic “dream” destinations around the world. Pop Photo survey results will then be compared with those of USTOA tour operators, who will recommend best places to photograph, as well as vacation tips for photographers.

The survey will run through April 30 , with results released in early summer. PP&I’s website receives more than 250,000 visitors monthly.

The Popular Photography & Imaging Survey is part of USTOA’s campaign to increase awareness of the wide range of tour and vacation package options offered by tour operators and vacation packagers to today’s travelers. “The message is: No matter what kind of photographer you are - whether focused on family vacation snapshots or sophisticated out-of-the-way destinations – USTOA members have a trip for you!, “ says USTOA’s President Bob Whitley.

By logging on to www.ustoa.com, travelers can select from 130 different USTOA member companies by destination, activity, or even personality profile The website also provides consumer information and useful tips on what to look for when purchasing a vacation. USTOA member companies are responsible for the vacations of 10 million people yearly. To qualify for USTOA membership a company must meet the travel industry’s highest standards, including participating in the USTOA $1 Million Consumer Protection Plan to help protect consumer payments and deposits.
