"THE USTOA ADVANTAGE" IS NEWEST ADDITION TO USTOA'S SMART TRAVELER'S PLANNING KIT

What should you look for when you choose a company that packages travel arrangements? "The USTOA Advantage," a new pamphlet from the United States Tour Operators Association, explains the requirements that tour operators must meet in order to belong to the association, and what it means to travelers.

"The USTOA Advantage" explains the benefits of choosing a USTOA member company when planning a vacation, including the fact that all USTOA Active Member companies must meet the travel industry's highest standards as well as adhere to a strict set of ethical guidelines. Additionally, all members must participate in the USTOA $1 Million Consumer Protection Plan, which guarantees refund or reimbursement of travelers' tour deposits and payments in the unlikely event of the member company's closure or bankruptcy.

This newest addition to USTOA's popular "Smart Traveler's Planning Kit" joins two other pamphlets, "How to Select a Tour or Vacation Package" and "The Standard for Confident Travel." In addition to the three brochures, the kit includes a listing of USTOA member companies.

As the premier organization of its kind, USTOA represents 57 companies and 122 brand names, offering tours and vacation packages worldwide. The Association's Active Member companies move some nine million travelers yearly, accounting for $5 billion in travel sales.
