If not, visit your local <strong>Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)<\/strong> or check your state\u2019s website to update your ID before the deadline.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why Does REAL ID Matter?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>REAL ID is a <strong>federal security standard<\/strong> for driver\u2019s licenses and ID cards, designed to enhance travel safety.
