Profile

Award winning AmaWaterways proudly celebrates more than 22 years as industry leaders, welcoming guests of all generations aboard 31 innovative river cruise ships in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America, with the industry’s first cruises on Colombia’s Magdalena River debuting in 2025.

Local Culinary Immersion

Pioneers in travel, AmaWaterways was the first river cruise line inducted into La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs. Our expert chefs serve exquisite regionally inspired cuisine prepared with only the freshest seasonal ingredients sourced from local orchards and farms – some of which can be visited on included excursions.

A Personalized Experience for Every Guest

Choose your own adventure with your choice from up to eight included daily excursions: hiking and biking, culinary demonstrations, wine and beer tastings and museum visits, as well as tours for gentle walkers and late risers. We also offer specially curated Latin Touch cruises for Spanish speakers, Celebration of Music departures on the Danube River and Soulful Experiences celebrating Black heritage and culture.

All Experiences Included

Guests are pampered with everything they need and more, from wellness activities to The Chef’s Table specialty restaurant to innovations such as AmaMagna’s pickleball court. Each ship has a pool or whirlpool, fitness room, a daily complimentary Sip & Sail cocktail hour and nightly entertainment.

Passion and Unrivaled Service

Our extraordinary Cruise Managers and crew are renowned for going above and beyond and anticipating your needs before you ask. Our people are the main reason that more guests return to cruise with AmaWaterways than with any other river cruise line.

Sustainability

With 20 ships earning the prestigious Green Award, AmaWaterways has implemented sustainable features such as LED lighting, solar panels and fuel-efficient navigation systems. We also offer experiences that support local economies and help preserve time-honored traditions such as Bavaria’s Oktoberfest and silk weaving along the Mekong River.
