In the last few years, AmaWaterways has intentionally increased its commitment to enhancing content to represent the diverse group of guests that we aspire to welcome on board. As a result of this, we can see more diverse marketing content being utilized by our travel partners and an increased engagement within these cultures. In 2019, AmaWaterways collaborated with a black-owned trade marketing company who assisted our global team in ensuring that our B2B and B2C content became more representative of the African American community. They also helped us host our first-ever Marketing Masterclass familiarization (FAM) cruise, inviting travel advisors from a diverse community, providing business support and special programming, as well as customization of product to appeal to a community beyond our traditional offering. Furthering our efforts of taking action, AmaWaterways has developed successful ‘Latin Touch’ cruises designed for Spanish-speaking guests, and also recently announced the debut of ‘Soulful Epicurean Experience,’ a special journey celebrating Black history and culture. This specially curated river cruise, set to attract travelers with interest in connecting with the Black and African heritage in the South of France and Paris, will set sail next year on August 24, 2023.
