USTOA In Insider Travel Report

Published Oct 2, 2019 12:00AM

Slovenia is considered a fairy tale destination filled with castles, caves and baby dragons—well maybe not real baby dragons! But the country is emerging as a popular destination for travelers looking to explore lesser-known corners of the world. Located in the Balkans, Slovenia offers hot springs, crystal clear lakes for swimming, alpine hiking and nature-themed wellness spas. The tour operator members of U.S. Tour Operators Association (USTOA) can take travelers off-the-beaten path to local hotspots and hidden gems they may not easily find on their own.

Slovenia also is the setting of Episode 5 of “Recalculating,” the USTOA travel video series with comedian Harrison Greenbaum (pictured above in Slovenia) filmed in off-the-beaten path destinations to showcase the group travel experiences offered by USTOA tour operators. With local guides, insider knowledge and industry expertise, travelers have the opportunity to discover a destination’s food, history and culture on another level on these tour programs. USTOA tour operator itineraries that feature Slovenia in 2020 include:
