ABERDEEN TOURS, INC. TO RESIGN USTOA MEMBERSHIP AS A RESULT OF OPERATIONAL CHANGES

NEW YORK – April 18, 2016 – Following its acquisition by Caissa DMC (US), Inc. and subsequent change to its business model, Aberdeen Tours, Inc. no longer meets the membership requirements of the United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA) and, therefore, will resign membership effective April 18, 2016 until those requirements can be met in the future.  As a result, the company will cease participation in the USTOA $1 Million Travelers Assistance Program.

“Travel agents should be aware that payments made prior to April 18, 2016 are protected under the USTOA $1 Million Travelers Assistance Program. Client payments thereafter will not be covered by the USTOA program,” advises USTOA President and CEO, Terry Dale.

Mrs. Gemu, CEO of Aberdeen Tours, Inc. cited the sole reason for resigning its membership from USTOA was due to the evolution in the company’s business model and the decision to suspend its business as a tour operator in the United States.

Dale added that Aberdeen Tours has been a valued partner since 2002 and appreciates the tremendous support the company provided to USTOA for 14 years.  “We look forward to welcoming Aberdeen Tours back as a member in the future,” he said.
