Webinar: Cornell Innovation Lab - Sustainable Tourism and Tour Operators Webinar

This webinar will be conducted by the MBA Candidates of Cornell University Johnson’s Ithaca-based MBA program

As the annual number of international tourists approaches an unprecedented 1.8 billion by 2020, tour operators, tourism boards, and governmental agencies must grapple with the various interrelated challenges of unsustainable travel: alienated local residents, degraded tourist experience, overloaded infrastructure, ecological damage, and threats to culture and heritage. In this webinar, a team of Cornell Johnson MBA students will discuss the primary and secondary research they conducted pertaining to consumer awareness of unsustainable travel, the consumer decision journey related to sustainable travel packages, profiling of consumers most interested in such packages, and tactical recommendations related to advertising sustainable travel packages to potential customers.
