Event Details

Wednesday, October 23, 2024
11:00am to 12:00pm EST

Join us for this edition of the SIR Education Series exploring animal welfare as part of responsible travel:
  • What is animal welfare's role in responsible travel?
  • How can you create and implement an effective animal welfare policy?
  • How can you engage customers in your animal welfare efforts?
Jennie Jouvenaar, Head of Sustainability at EF Education First, will provide insights into EF's journey, covering its environmental protection, community support, and animal welfare initiatives. She'll delve into EF’s animal welfare policy, impact, and integration within the organization.

Racha Kerdsilp, Operations Manager for the EF Educational Travel businesses in Southeast Asia, will join Jennie to discuss the successes and challenges of implementing animal welfare practices in the region. Focusing on elephant welfare in Thailand as a case study, she will share approaches for building relationships with local suppliers to effectively implement your animal welfare policy.

Join us to gain practical resources and leave inspired to advance your animal welfare journey.
