USTOA SIR Education Series - Climate 101

Event Details

Monday, April 22, 2024
11:00am to 12:30pm ET

This installment of the USTOA SIR Education Series will act as a follow-up to our "Sustainability: Our Response" session at the 2023 Annual Conference and Marketplace in LA with Malcolm Preston, Adjunct Professor, Kellogg School of Management; Visiting Faculty, Harvard Business School. He is also our returning facilitator for the 2024 SIR 3.0 Summit in Singapore.

Whilst most businesses are now focused on carbon reduction or Net Zero strategies, many people are not well-versed in the key drivers and challenges of the Climate Change agenda. In his "Climate 101” session, Malcolm takes a step back from the detail and provides a short summary of the key climate issues looking at both the Science (the theory, data and evidence) and the global challenges (including economic, political and technological). In his words, “if you are trying to solve a problem, it is always good to understand the underlying causes.
