This also provides an “off the beaten path” opportunity many travelers are seeking. Cooperatives are a win for local communities, driving wealth and benefits from tourism dollars directly into their economies. And Cooperatives are also a win for the traveller, who just by visiting and purchasing a local product, is helping to support sustained impact in the destination, and also the ability to bring home a meaningful souvenir.
