ADA Part III: Accessible Lodging for Travelers with Disabilities (CSTP Credit)
DATE: Tuesday, November 5, 2013
TIME: 1:00pm EST
The market for accessible tourism is now clearly recognized as tour operators, travel-related businesses, and destinations are beginning to take notice to the increasing demand for accessible services, facilities, products and information. A large percentage of travelers either require, or can benefit from, accessible hotel facilities. There are good business reasons, as well as legal obligations, to be aware of the features that hotels must have to meet accessibility requirements. In this webinar, we will discuss those elements and services which comprise an accessible lodging facility. As each individual traveler may need or benefit from specific types of accessible features, it is important for tour operators to have a clear understanding of those features and how they benefit growing segments of their customer base - people with disabilities, people who are aging and traveling companions.
