PERILLO’S LEARNING JOURNEYS TO LEAVE USTOA; PERILLO TOURS SPINS OFF

LEARNING JOURNEYS TO BECOME AN INDEPENDENT TOUR OPERATOR

NEW YORK – OCTOBER 30, 2020 – Effective November 1, 2020, Perillo’s Learning Journeys, a brand of Perillo Tours, has resigned its USTOA membership as it spins off to become a separate company. A member since 2014, Perillo Tours continues its active membership.

Accordingly, Perillo’s Learning Journeys no longer participates in the USTOA $1 Million Travelers Assistance Program.

“Travel agents and consumers should be aware that purchases of Perillo’s Learning Journeys products made prior to November 1, 2020, are protected under the USTOA $1 Million Travelers Assistance Program. Deposits and payments thereafter will not be covered by the USTOA program,” advises USTOA President & CEO Terry Dale.  Perillo Tours continues to be a USTOA tour operator member in good standing, participating in the USTOA $1 Million Travelers Assistance Program.

Steve Perillo, president and owner of Perillo Tours, said, “We’ve always been extremely proud of having Learning Journeys as part of the Perillo Tours family. This is an exciting opportunity for Learning Journeys, under the expert eye of Carol Dimopoulos, to forge its own distinctive brand, which has always been the goal since we launched it in 2012.”

“I am so grateful to Steve for nurturing Learning Journeys in its formative years,” said Professor Carol Dimopoulos, CEO of Learning Journeys. “As we prepare to relaunch after the first of the new year, one of our major goals is to join USTOA as quickly as possible. The value of membership and support of Terry and his team are incalculable benefits for any tour company,” she continued.

Dale added that Perillo Tours has been a valued partner since 2014 and appreciates the support the company provided to USTOA. “It was such a pleasure working with Carol as a board member and on various committees, and all of us at USTOA eagerly await her return,” said Dale.
